Good Tiling Practice
Prime all porous surfaces this stops the
adhesive drying to quickly and gives you a clean dust free surface
to adhere to. All primers are to be brushed or broom applied only,
as this gives better penetration of the primer.
Occasionally
remove a tile to check that you are getting acceptable coverage. Do
not leave crosses in floor and wall tiles as this leaves no room
for movement. Movement Joints should be placed around the
perimeter and at 4.5 mtr spacing and around any posts or
protrusions through the tiles. These movement joints are to be
filled with a flexible sealant.
Alert:
Wax Residue on Porcelain Tiles
Some porcelain have a wax residue on the face
of the tile and as such must be removed prior to grouting, as we
believe this is causing some grout discolouration.
